Well it’s now a few weeks since our wildly successful fundraiser at St John the Evangelist Church on 16 October. I can honestly say that I was totally happy with how the event went. It had its moments of organised chaos but we achieved that ultimate aim of all event organisers – 100% excellent feedback on all aspects. Russell as our art director and set builder created a setting which surprised and delighted and the team decorated it beautifully. Yun our food director and her team of chefs, sent out food which was above and beyond everyone’s expectations. Her menu was just superb. Luke kept our performers happy and organised as stage manager. Our bar team ran an examplary show alongside the guys from Hendrick’s who got everyone, who was adventurous enough to try them, very drunk on their Martinis. Our waiting team brought the food out doublequick and our kitchen staff stayed behind the scenes clearing it all. They all worked incredibly hard and I am so proud of what we achieved. Thank you so much to everyone who helped – volunteers, sponsors, supporters and of course those of church’s choir who helped us clear up, and the lovely Rev Bev for allowing us to party so hard in her beautiful church – you couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful venue for a fabulous night *sigh*.
